Spurs around 1976,77 were pushed from the north bank into the west, Man U tried from the pitch 1973,74? I grew up in the south bank and north bank shelves and watched quite a lot of ‘scuffles’ started away games around 1978 and Arsenal were never an issue, in fact we took their north bank every match! Watching from the clock end 😂

I know a lot of their mob The Herd and they were a clever little mob who attempted it. Not in my lifetime have spurs attempted anything. Same with man u

Our school bunch starting going to away games around 14 yrs old. we started in the away ends at fulham then did most london away games. we were at chelsea the year after whu took the shed, this year chelsea were ready and loads of whu were taken out and stuck in our away end. we decided for our first home end we would do QPR, nice soft one. getting in was easy hiding your colours. we made our way into the middle and i thought i recognised a few faces but i was nervous. a fella near me had a whu scarf visible and he got nicked. the pc said any whu in here at 3pm would be nicked too. but then as the teams came out the whole middle of the home end was west ham. i was so relieved, the only qpr in their own end were squashed down each side. great atmosphere but i realised taking home ends wasnt for me at 9 1/2 stone at that time. good mems tho.

Because Arsenal were the least likely to do what you said, only spurs and Man U attempted it from my time.

Was anyone in our North Bank mid 70.s when a mob of about 30 arse got in there , they piped up about half 2 then were immediately run out within less than 20 seconds , It was well amusing to a teenager from the South Coast .

I knocked the head off of a scarecrow, in the allotments on the way to Vicarage Road.
Sort of early skirmish tactics.
